Paolo Maurizio's pins combine research into anodized metals with the niello technique: gold is bonded with oxidized silver, stones and unconventional materials in compositions conceived as small paintings to be pinned on the body. Here the surface, still and unarticulated, becomes the true field of work, a static expression of the same research that in necklaces and bracelets relies instead on movement.
